Welcome to Miss Maddie's Mercantile, we are so pleased you stopped by today. Here at the Mercantile all of the "girls" (who are all related in someway) are pleased to bring you all of their treasures and finds. Each has their own speciality style of decorating, and each of the girls are very diffrent and unique people.
Maddie is the founder of this Mercantile and her sisters are Auntie Abigail and Pinky, the rest of the girls are cousins, aunts, grandmother's etc. Maddie is very ambitious and is always up for a challange and trying new things. Maddie was born in the early 1900's and was a beautiful girl as a child. She was the first born in her family, and always was a bit quite as a child. Many relitives thought she was a bit aloof. As Maddie grew into a beautiful young woman she really started to come into her own, and become much more outgoing and social. She had many a man vying for her attention, but she scoffed at them all. Maddie wanted to enjoy all that life had to offer. She wanted to travel, go to school and dress in the finest fashions. She saved up her money from odd jobs and decided to open the Mercantile in the hopes she would be able to make enough money to accomplish all of her asperations. Her Mercantile was very prosperous, and the family started to take notice. She decided to offer small corner locations in her Mercantile for family members who wanted to get in on Maddie's new found fame. First to contact her and pay a visit was Faye a cousin from the Mid-west. Faye loved fabric's and was very excited for this opportunity. Next to pay a visit was Cousin Blanche from the East Coast. Blanche is a bit on the crazy side (more about that later) and she wanted to bring some of the East Coast with her to Maddie's Mercantile. Fifi who lives in Paris and was an old schoolmate of Maddie's wrote her a long lovely letter and asked if she could send some of her lovely's from Paris to Maddie to sell. Savannah another cousin from Georgia asked if she could sell some of her beautiful chenille. Caroline, who was Maddie's friend from grammer school wanted to sell some of her sweet confections. Abigail wanted to sell her roses, and Pinky her artwork. The last person to contact Maddie was Clemintine, a very shy and reserved cousin who loved Christmas and everything about it. Maddie was more than pleased to oblidge all of them.
So we hope you enjoy all the "girls" have to offer and Maddie wants you to know if at anytime you have any questions, concerns, or special request please email her at timelessvintagetreasures@yahoo.com or give her a phone call at 810-919-1067.
